being selfish

I have learned many things since Kismet entered into my life… non-judgement, compassion, empathy, patience, unconditional love are just a few that come to mind.

As I grow with her, other things… lessons, are not so clear as they bring up emotions that I have never experienced before.

Helplessness, dispair, concern, relief, anxiety… all these have a different flavour now that her health is wrapped around them.

All I want is for her to get better.
All I want is that happy puppy I’ve only known back.
All I want…

Yes.

I’m being selfish.

I’ve never experienced this emotional space that she and I share before.

And if I am afraid of anything… it’s that it will end.
