oppourtunities
I've been searching for a fix for my rear motorcycle wheel for the last two weeks, spoke to multiple machinists and was suggested that I use some Loctite retaining compound to fix the wheel bearing in place.
so as usual I research what this compound is, how much it costs and where I can find it.
it's not cheap stuff, so I've been holding off buying some.
well last night I felt a nudge, googled "loctite 680" and saw someone selling it on Amazon for 70% off!
instead of taking advantage of this oppourtunity, I decided to wait.
why?
because I wanted to find a way to save on the shipping.
and in my hesitation I lost the oppourtunity to buy exactly what I needed to fix my problem.
I was pretty disappointed that I fell victim to one of my dysfunctional behaviours, the lesson was being taught yet again.
this morning a friend reached out asking if I could help him with booking a flight since I have an abundance of airmiles, and ticket costs are high as a result of him needing to fly in 2 weeks time.
I search and there is nothing available.
I try another system I have access to and there is nothing available.
I try looking for one way tickets to see if I can piece a travel plan together... then as I refresh the screen a new flight option pops up with "one seat remaining" in red.
glancing over at the price it is half of what is showing on Expedia!
call my friend
quickly verify the flight times
enter in his information
and I pay for the ticket.
screen refreshes with a confirmation
when I refresh the Expedia window... the price changed
it went up an additional 20%!!!
now the overall difference in price?
$1100.00
I'm learning the lesson.
